RICHARDSON, Texas, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Unwired Australia Pty Limited, Australia's leading provider of high-speed wireless broadband, has announced strong customer takeup of its wireless broadband service in Sydney, Australia using technology from Navini Networks, Inc., the leading provider of non-line- of-sight, zero-install(TM) portable wireless broadband technology.

Unwired's initial Sydney network has 70 sites covering more than 1,200 square miles and 3.5 million potential Sydney users making it the largest network of its type in the world. A major component of Unwired's success has been its strong channel strategy. Its largest channel is retail with 63 percent of new customers.
